Matt Field is a live music media producer, venue operator and Coordinator of Midtown Newcastle, an entertainment precinct built around some of the city’s key small and mid-sized venues.
For more than a decade, Matt has produced live music broadcasts, festivals, multi-venue events and performance spaces, driven by a central purpose: creating more opportunities for original artists to be heard. Through Midtown Newcastle, he works with venues, government and industry to help small venues survive and thrive.
Matt is currently building a new live music venue in Newcastle, opening this year, exploring innovative models for long-term cultural and commercial sustainability.
