Martin Mayer is a Czech-Canadian concert pianist, award-nominated composer, and recording artist. With a 30-year international performance career built independently — without a label, manager, or agent – Mayer's career took off when he borrowed $35,000 at 18 to mount and produce his debut concert. That risk got him noticed in China and landed him his first "Outstanding Instrumental Album" award nomination. Dubbed "Canada's Prince of Piano" by the Beijing Times, Mayer has toured China extensively since his 2001 16-city debut broadcast to an estimated one billion viewers, with a 13-year Taiwan festival partnership earning him accolades and fans across Asia.
In 2025 he released "The Solo Piano Collection," a 16-track neoclassical album of his best compositions written over three decades. Featuring Grammy-winning violinist Charlie Bisharat as guest on the record, the accompanying book of sheet music is distributed globally via eBook and available in print across 50+ book store vendors in 28 countries.
