David Cook is a First Nations writer, director, producer and actor from Meanjin whose work is dedicated to elevating First Nations voices through screen storytelling. With 7+ years experience across film and television, he has built a strong reputation as a multi-disciplinary creative. Recent projects include I Dare (Love) You, supported by Screen Australia, NITV, ABC and Screen Queensland & debut feature film Heart of the Man. As Managing Director of New Dream Productions, David continues to develop impactful film and documentary projects that centre First Nations perspectives, truth telling and culturally grounded stories for national and international audiences.
