#GOING VIRTUAL. GOING GLOBAL.

Now in its 19th year, BIGSOUND 2020, proudly produced by QMusic, will connect, inform and inspire the music industry to rebuild and re-emerge from the COVID-19 crisis.

The innovative BIGSOUND 2020 program of online panels, workshops and discussions will explore the industrial needs of the business of music, bringing together key players to discuss the industry’s immediate survival during and post the COVID-19 crisis. It will address the needs of First Nations artists and music industry workers as part of the national recovery process and offer industry a place to come together virtually and look towards a new era of productivity and growth.
Delegate passes are FREE for BIGSOUND 2020 to ensure equal access for an industry that has been devastated by the effects of COVID-19.

#2020 is one of BIGSOUND’s most important years in its 19 year history.

BIGSOUND will forge ahead against a backdrop of a global pandemic that has caused economic destruction and hamstrung Australia’s entire live music sector costing the income, jobs and livelihoods of many.

Now more than ever our national music industry needs to connect and talk about where we are heading as an industry both domestically and on the international front.

BIGSOUND has always recognised its responsibility to share ideas, conversations, networks and facilitate critical dialogue about the future of the music industry. At the heart of BIGSOUND is a networking event built by the engagement and participation of the Australian music industry. This year we aim to connect and network digitally in this new era of how we conduct business.

This year BIGSOUND will connect the Australian music community to get a better understanding of what’s ahead for our industry in the current and post-COVID era. It aims to stimulate discussion, allow participants to identify new ways of thinking about and doing business and achieve a better understanding of what’s ahead.

BIGSOUND has a commitment to promote and increase the representation of First Nations artists on and off their platform. Supporting Indigenous stories through song and reflecting who we are as Australians is of great importance to BIGSOUND 2020.
