Emerson Snowe Wins $25K Levi's® Music Prize

The $25,000 Levi’s® Music Prize winner was announced today, as Emerson Snowe blew the panel of international selectors away with a blistering Tuesday showcase at Woolly Mammoth.

This year the Levi’s® Music Prize winner also receives $5000 in travel from Stage and Screen, with three winners to be announced each quarter leading into BIGSOUND 2019, providing ongoing career support for BIGSOUND alumni into the future.

The stage moniker of Brisbane songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jarrod Mahon, Emerson Snowe has had an incredible 2018 playing debut shows in London whilst dropping tracks 'Could You Love Me' and 'Sunlight' off his forthcoming EP.

His charming yet unconventional approach to music has already attracted the attention of many of his idols, being tapped for support slots by acts like Ariel Pink and King Krule.

"I want to say a huge thank-you to everyone involved. This money and opportunity will go a long way and will honestly change my life. Thank you so much to Levi's® for giving me this chance."
