BIGSOUND @ SXSW

Bringing together two of humankind's finest creations - music and brunch - BIGSOUND once again teamed up with SOUNDS AUSTRALIA to bring the second BIGSOUND Brunch to SXSW in Austin, TX last month.

Taking place at Australia House the party served up a killer combo of bloody marys, bacon and egg burgers and amazing Aussie bands, boasting a stellar lineup of BIGSOUND alumni comprised of Amaru Tribe, Rachael Fahim, Mojo Juju, Gabriella Cohen, Feels, Two People, The Gooch Palms, Golden Vessel, Angie McMahon and Kwame.

With a career that's gone from strength to strength since her first BIGSOUND appearance in 2017, Melbourne singer songwriter Angie McMahon hit another huge milestone, winning the Grulke Prize for Developing Non-U.S. Act. The award has previously gone to now-massive acts like Courtney Barnett and CHVRCHES.

Also making the trip stateside for SXSW this year were our two most recent Levi’s® Music Prize recipients Emerson Snowe and Amyl & The Sniffers and recent BIGSOUND Festival acts WAAX, Oh Pep!, Haiku Hands and San Mei.
