With the solid list of buyers and speakers hot-footing their way to Brisbane this September, it's clear to see BIGSOUND is the place to be if you want to catch the hottest new talent from across the region.

Terry McBride, CEO of Canadian powerhouse Nettwerk Music Group is among the the list of talent scouts in the latest announcement, which also includes reps from Sub Pop, Captured Tracks, Mom + Pop Records and many more.

Nettwork is comprised of Canada’s largest independent record label, artist management and music publishing company with a roster that includes Father John Misty, Stereophonics and Norwegian BIGSOUND alumni Sløtface. It's also home to a staggering number of Australian acts, including Xavier Rudd, Angus & Julia Stone, John Butler Trio, Boy & Bear, Hermitude, Japanese Wallpaper, Jack River and Mallrat.

Founded in McBride's apartment in 1984, Nettwerk has offices in Vancouver, London, Hamburg, Boston, Los Angeles and New York. Since its inception, Nettwerk has released over 700 albums and sold over 170 million albums worldwide with renowned artists such as Coldplay, Fun, Mike Posner, Passenger, Dido, and Sarah McLachlan.

McBride has spoken at dozens of international conferences about the social landscape, digital branding, intellectual property rights and the future of music consumption. In 2008 he co-authored a paper on the Millennial Generation for the University of Westminster in London.

He is a two-time recipient of the Pollstar Manager of the Year for his work with Avril Lavigne, Coldplay & Sarah McLachlan. He is also a recipient of the Juno Awards 'Special Achievement Award' for the growth and advancement of the Canadian music industry.
