QMusic has pre-struck the following from the cancellation clause in the agreement.

Cancellation

In the event the Industry Guest:

a. can no longer attend BIGSOUND; or

b. is invited to perform the Services on behalf of a company or organisation, and leaves that company or organisation before BIGSOUND, the Industry Guest agrees to reimburse QMusic (if applicable) in full for any fees, travel costs ~~or other monies~~ already spent in relation to the Guest’s attendance at and participation in BIGSOUND.

Amendment

c. Guest is not responsible for reimbursements in the case of force majeure events as defined herein, nor in the case of unexpected deaths in the family or a personal medical emergency.

The Industry Guest agrees to:

• Announce attendance at BIGSOUND through personal and/or company LinkedIn and Instagram grid posts, using artwork provided (once CAST x BIGSOUND officially announces the program).
• Be in Brisbane from August 31 – 4 September 2026.
• Attend the BIGSOUND showcase program from 1-3 September 2026.
• Delivery of a 15-20 minute presentation with a fireside chat to follow which will be between 45-60 mins
• Participate in associate tech-focused events and discussions
• Attend networking events and mixers arranged by QMusic / BIGSOUND if requested.
• Respond to post-event surveying immediately after the event.
• As mutually agreed with the BIGSOUND Program team, be available for one or more conference or workshop sessions.

QMusic will provide the following benefits:
• Return premium economy flights from Los Angeles to Brisbane, Australia.
• 4 nights’ accommodation (31 – 4 September) at a 4-star hotel in Brisbane, to be booked by QMusic.
• Airport transfers to and from accommodation on ground in Brisbane
• Book signing opportunity as part of the BIGSOUND conference

• Receive unedited version of fireside discussion and presentation/talks

•1 x BIGSOUND delegate pass + access to the BIGSOUND delegate portal
•1 x Invitation to the BIGSOUND VIP International Reception, VIP Opening Event and Official BIGSOUND Closing Party.

CAST will provide the following benefits:

Travel insurance - CAST will cover the costs of the Industry Guest's travel insurance to cover the cost of all expenses already incurred by QMusic in the event of Industry Guest cancellation

The Industry Guest must provide QMusic with:
•A high-resolution photo
•A current biography (50 – 150 words)

Visas
The speaker is responsible for researching and securing the most appropriate visa for their visit. International visitors taking part in a conference without being paid for their involvement may be eligible for the free Electronic Travel Authority visa.

Exclusivity
The speaker agrees they will not participate as a speaker in another Australasian music conference or music-related engagement that takes place at any time 180 days before, or 90 days after, performing the service, without prior approval from the QMusic Program team.
