BIGSOUND 2026 Welcomes Official California Lane CD & Record Fair in Fortitude Valley
Fortitude Valley will become a destination for music lovers during BIGSOUND 2026 as California Lane and Glitter Records present the official California Lane CD & Record Fair — two days of vinyl, CDs, crate digging and Brisbane music history.
Part of the official BIGSOUND 2026 program, the fair will take place on Wednesday 2 September and Thursday 3 September 2026 from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Entry is free and open to BIGSOUND delegates and the public. The event will feature independent record sellers including Beat Market and Sacred Crates, offering vinyl records, CDs and collectable releases. Glitter Records will host a special open-air $5 CD Rummage Sale, with more than 4,000 CDs available to browse, alongside its full range of vinyl, CDs and collectables in store.
Historian and author Robert Allen will lead Fortitude Valley Music History Walking Tours across both days, sharing stories of the venues, artists and communities that helped shape Brisbane’s iconic music precinct. The California Lane CD & Record Fair celebrates Brisbane’s music history and the enduring appeal of vinyl and CDs as part of BIGSOUND 2026.
