COVID Information

2020 has presented many challenges however BIGSOUND is working towards presenting a physical and virtual event that will connect, inform and inspire the music industry to rebuild and re-emerge from the COVID crisis.  

BIGSOUND 2020 aims to continue with its long-standing role of providing forward thinking, listening, learning, discovering and most importantly industry connection for the music community.


#Social Distancing at BIGSOUND

Due to social distancing requirements, delegate passes and festival tickets will be limited as venue capacities have been significantly reduced to be aligned with COVID Safe Plans. It is advised to book delegate passes in groups so the BIGSOUND team can seat groups together at the Conference. 

All seating will be cleaned and maintained in accordance with COVID Safe Plans. Hand sanitising stations will also be set up throughout the venue to minimise the potential spread of germs. Delegates will not be able to move around the venue and will need to be seated, with the exception of going to the bathroom.

#Pre-Registration

Due to COVID safe restrictions, pre-registration will be required for conference and festival events. Registration will be available via the delegate portal in the lead up to the Festival. Please keep an eye on emails from BIGSOUND with instructions and more details. You will also be required to sign in on arrival. 

Numbers per event are subject to change due to health regulations. 

To assist with health regulations and planning, delegate passes are recommended to be purchased as groups of two, four or eight. Single tickets are available and seating arrangements will be confirmed closer to the event. If you would like to organise a group of 10+, please contact the QMusic office directly on 07 3257 0013. Bundling tickets will assist with adhering to COVID Safe venue restrictions and allowing more people into the conference.

#Refunds

Delegate passes are 100% refundable up until Sunday 4 October 2020.

If you require a refund following that date due to COVID-19 related restrictions, please contact the QMusic office directly and the team will discuss your options. 

If a pass holder is presenting with any COVID-19 related symptoms leading up to BIGSOUND or on the event days, they will be issued a refund for the days they missed. Ticket holders who require a refund due to COVID-19 symptoms must notify the QMusic office by Saturday 24 October 2020 by emailing info@qmusic.com.au.

Proof of purchase may be required for any refund or exchange. Unless required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), BIGSOUND will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of an event, including any travel and accommodation expenses.

#Live Streaming

Due to social distancing and decreased capacities, delegate and showcasing numbers allowed at BIGSOUND will be less than previous years with live streaming and virtual meetings to be offered for the first time. 

Details about speakers and the program to be announced in the coming months. If COVID-19 restrictions prevent a face-to-face event from taking place, the conference will be broadcast in digital form and a full refund will be given to all ticket/delegate pass holders with an option to purchase a digital ticket.
