Teaching contemporary music at tertiary levels requires institutions to be constantly up to date with developments in the industry, technology and career pathways for contemporary musicians. The impact of COVID on music education has required inventive strategies for skilling emerging musicians with the tools and creative mindset needed to thrive in the changing music industry.

In this panel academics from around the country discuss the direction contemporary music education is moving at tertiary levels, touching on songwriting, performance, technology and music business.
