Sharlene commenced work at the infamous Crystal Ballroom in the early '80s, caught the bug for hotels and live music, bought her first Hotel before finishing uni continuing the live music journey from there.
Having managed more than 20 venues over 3 decades before taking on the Victorian and subsequently National Entertainment role for ALH Group 10 years ago, Sharlene now heads up a small but passionate team managing entertainment in all its forms across 350 Venues nationally. Procuring a wide variety of acts covering most genres in Venues from Cairns to Geraldton gives Sharlene a unique insight into audiences around the country.
ALH Group has also built some successful outdoor events with Hotter than Hell, Bush to Bay and Stones Corner Festival over the journey.
Sharlene is also currently Vice Chair for the Australian Live Music Business Council, a company formed with Stephen Wade and Brian Chladil at the height of Covid in 2020. The ALMBC provides a voice for the myriad of Australian businesses supporting the live music industry and a seat at the table of political decision makers both Federal and State.
