Karyn Rachtman is an entertainment industry entrepreneur best known as an acclaimed music supervisor. Throughout her career, Karyn collaborated with filmmakers such as Baz Luhrmann, Quentin Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson and Warren Beatty on some of the most beloved soundtracks of all time, earning her a reputation as one of the most significant music supervisors in the film industry. Aside from her work on classic films like Pulp Fiction, Moulin Rouge, Romeo & Juliet, Clueless and Boogie Nights to name a few, Rachtman is also an award-winning film producer and creator of Hip Kid Hop, a New York Times best-selling line of “read-and-rap-along” children’s books.
She has extensive experience in the corporate environments, having served as Vice President of Soundtracks and A&R at Capitol Records and Head of Soundtracks at Interscope. Karyn has grown her Los Angeles and New Zealand-based company, Mind Your Music, to include consulting, coordination, and licensing services, as well as music supervision. Today, she continues to leverage her love for music to help clients along the spectrum of the entertainment and advertising industries see their visions come to life.
