Dr. Jadey O'Regan is a lecturer in contemporary music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney where she teaches music performance, songwriting, production and music history. In 2014, she was awarded her PhD titled 'When I Grow Up: The Development of the Beach Boys' Sound', which analysed the development of the distinctive sound of the Beach Boys between 1962 and 1966. Her research has been presented in Australia and internationally, and covers areas such as pop hooks, genre formation and music analysis. She is also a musician, songwriter and session musician across a variety of genres.
