David McLeod, a member of Pine Creek First Nation in Manitoba, is the CEO of Native Communications (NCI) based in Winnipeg. He’s been actively involved within the Indigenous music industry for over 20 years on a provincial and national level. He is the Executive Producer of the multiple-award winning Indigenous Music Countdown (IMC), a weekly two-hour program syndicated on 13 stations across Canada including SiriusXM. He also co-chairs the Indigenous Music Advisory Committee for the National Music Centre (NMC) in Calgary. In 2019 and 2020 he curated the 'Speak-Up' exhibition at the NMC which highlights 13 trailblazing Indigenous artists from the late 60s until recent times. David studied media at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary and television production at Ryerson University in Toronto. He is also a member of the APTN television network board.
